The following document covers what to expect when working with me. If you have any questions not covered by this document, please reach out to me with the general contact form!
References for commissioned work will be needed. These references can be visual and/or by text descriptions. Images, text, pinterest boards, silly doodles you made on a paper napkin--if it helps me understand what you want, then send it. The more references the better! If I'm not given enough information to understand what you want, your commission will take longer to complete.
Note: Once a request is made via a form or DM on social media, if your commission is accepted, all communication on your commission afterwards will be done through email. Please refrain from using social media to communicate with me after your commission is accepted. Please keep it to email so that I don't miss it.
Personal commissions are bound by a Personal Use License. This means:
If you'd like to keep your commission private and not displayed anywhere, please see Private Commissions.
Commerical licensing will be discussed on a case by case basis.
Please keep in mind, I have a strict No NFT Policy.
Payment is done in Canadian Dollars ($CAD) through PayPal.
No other payment options are available at this time.
Payment is done in two parts:
If additional fees occur during the commission process after the first payment, they will be added to the final payment.
Milestones include: Concept sketch, final sketch, lines, color flats, and final shading.
This is the general number of milestones for a fully shaded lineart piece. For works that
are less complex, there will be less milestones. (i.e. an unshaded sketch won't go past
the final sketch milestone for example)
Milestones include: Concept sketch, final sketch, color sketch, 30%, 60%, 90%, and final image.
Previews of each milestone will be sent to you as a watermarked 72dpi jpg file. Each milestone needs an approval before I move to the next. I will not continue work without approval. Upon completion and after the final payment is received, you'll receive a high resolution (300dpi) png and a 72dpi jpg for web (both without watermark). Please let me know if you'd like a different format. I can also provide a PSD if asked, however, I use Clip Studio, so the information of the original clip file may not be fully retained as a PSD. You can also ask for the clip file if you'd like.
I work in the UTC-6 timezone. I do not work weekends or holidays. I usually work afternoon and evenings.
Emails are checked at noon.
Major edits/changes are only acceptable during the sketch phase of any commission. Once a commission moves into lines or the color sketch stage, major edits will require a discussed extra fee based on complexity.
Exceptions: If there are mistakes made in the art that go against the provided references, such as character design mistakes, or other visual elements, then edits will be done without additional costs.
Additional charges may be made if: heavy revisions occur in the latter stages of the commission, or there are more than 3 revisions done in the sketch stage. The additional charge is 5% of base price or more depending on how time-consuming the revisions are.
Adding elements not previously discussed will be subject to standard pricing.
Please be sure to look over the WIP stages carefully and make sure it's what you want before I continue. Don't be afraid to tell me if something is wrong!
The Client and artist both reserve the right to cancel or decline the commission at any time, without reason and/or explanation.
If you'd like to keep your commissioned work from being displayed on my social media accounts, portfolio, or promotional material, you can pay a privacy fee to keep the commission 100% private. This means I will not display the work anywhere. The privacy fee is 25% of the total price.
Anonymous commissions will leave your name unmentioned when the work is displayed. No fee is applied for this.
Commissions are done on a first come first serve basis.
A rush fee is 30% of the total price. This is applied if you want me to prioritize your work over others, or if you provide me with a very tight deadline requiring immediate work to meet on time.
Thank you for reading my Terms of Service. If you have any questions not covered here, please reach out to me with the general contact form.
